Range Hoods for Amazon & Online Sellers: FBA Packaging, Small Test Orders, Multi-Channel Ready
JILU is a Shengzhou, China range hood factory shipping to Amazon FBA sellers, Shopify storefronts, Wayfair, eBay, and DTC brands. Test orders from 20 units per SKU, FBA-grade retail boxes, and one product spec list you can list on every channel without rework.
JILU (Shengzhou Jilu Ventilation Equipment Co., Ltd.) — Shengzhou-based range hood maker since January 1996. 100,000-unit annual capacity. UL · ETL · CB certifications, ISO 9001 quality system. More on our About Us page.
Which Sales Channels Are You Listing On?
Most online sellers we work with list on more than one channel. The packaging and labeling rules differ — Amazon FBA requires FNSKU labels and ISTA 3A drop-tested cartons, Shopify DTC wants retail-bar codes and gift-ready unboxing, Wayfair mandates 5-tower palletized LTL — but the product stays the same. Here is how we tailor the shipment to each channel without running three separate production batches.

Most first-time online sellers start on Amazon FBA, validate the SKU mix that converts, then layer Shopify DTC for higher margin. If that is your plan, we recommend the 30" under-cabinet as your first SKU — see our under-cabinet range hood line and the black range hood line for premium tier. For multi-channel expansion strategy, see our wholesale range hood program guide.
How Big Should Your First Test Order Be?
The smallest order JILU accepts per SKU is 20 units, but the practical floor for a first-time online seller is 200 units total across 5-10 SKUs. That number lets you (a) shoot listing photography on multiple units, (b) split an initial Amazon FBA shipment across two FCs for Prime coverage, (c) keep a small DTC buffer for Shopify, and (d) have replacements ready when a unit arrives damaged. Below is the tier table used by most of our online seller clients.
Why the 20-unit per SKU floor? Because Amazon listing photography needs 8-10 units (hero, lifestyle, infographic, video B-roll), and splitting an initial order across two FBA FCs for Prime coverage usually means another 5-10 units per FC. Anything below 20 units per SKU leaves you unable to stock more than one FC. For a side-by-side comparison of every hood type's pricing across the three tiers, see our under-cabinet sourcing checklist.
How Does Channel-Ready Packaging Work?
Every JILU online seller shipment leaves the factory ready for its destination channel. For Amazon FBA we build to FBA prep rules. For Shopify DTC we build for unboxing. For Wayfair we palletize to 5-tower spec. For hybrid orders we build dual-mode cartons that can route to either. Three things matter in every case: drop survival, label placement, and weight tier.

For hybrid shipments above 500 units we can split one container across Amazon FC + Wayfair DC + your 3PL. Splitting adds USD 80 per extra destination for palletization and carrier handoff. For full container (40HQ) splits across 4+ destinations, contact us directly with the destination codes and we will plan the pallet distribution. Related: see our 127V Mexico shipping guide for cross-border specifics.
What Kills Reviews on Range Hoods?
Across the 40+ containers we have shipped for online sellers since 2019, we tracked every 1-star and 2-star review and matched the complaint to a manufacturing decision. Below is the playbook that comes standard with every channel-ready shipment above the test tier. These are the same engineering moves JILU's OEM clients pay extra for — bundled free for online seller orders above the test tier.

Our online seller field return rate across all SKUs in 2024-2026 sits at approximately 1.4 percent — versus a typical Amazon kitchen hood category average of 5-8 percent (per marketplace seller feedback reports). For technical sourcing context, see our glass vs stainless steel comparison guide.
What Listing & Marketing Assets Are Included?
Every channel-ready SKU ships with the assets you need to launch on Amazon, Shopify, Wayfair, eBay, and your own brand site — without booking a separate product photographer. The pack is sized to fit each channel's specific image requirements (Amazon wants 2000×2000 px white background; Shopify wants lifestyle-first; Wayfair wants dimensional callouts) so the same shoot delivers both.

If you already have brand guidelines, send us a brand book and we will adapt the image pack and copy to match. For OEM-style logo application on the hood body (laser-etched or sticker), see our OEM/ODM services page — that is a separate workstream from the standard listing pack above. For CE / FCC compliance uploads, the guide is in our CE documentation guide.

1. What is the smallest MOQ for online seller test orders?
JILU accepts test orders starting at 20 units per SKU with a 5-10 SKU minimum (100-200 units total). Test-order pricing is roughly 15 percent above the full-container tier. The 20-unit floor exists because Amazon listing photos need multiple units and you usually want to split an initial order across two or three FBA FCs for Prime coverage.
2. Can you apply FNSKU labels before shipping to Amazon?
Yes. We apply FNSKU labels at our factory for USD 0.40 per unit. You send us the FNSKU spreadsheet and we print and stick the labels on a fixed location outside the box (away from seams, barcode-readable). If you do not yet have FNSKUs, we ship without labels and you apply them at a 3PL prep center in the destination country.
3. Do your boxes pass ISTA 3A drop tests?
Yes. Every JILU FBA carton is ISTA 3A drop-tested before shipment. We use 5-ply corrugated cardboard with ECT-32 rating and double-walled construction for 30" and 36" models. We issue a per-shipment drop-test report on request. Our drop-test pass rate for Amazon FBA shipments since 2019 is 99.4% across 40+ containers shipped.
4. How loud is your 30" under-cabinet hood in sones?
The 30" under-cabinet model runs at 42 dB on low speed measured at 1 meter, which is approximately 1.5 sones. High speed reaches 58 dB or about 6 sones. We publish third-party lab reports on request. The 42 dB figure is the spec Amazon reviewers care about because it is below the conversation-interference threshold.
5. Can you ship directly to Wayfair DCs and Amazon FCs from the same container?
Yes — hybrid palletization. For full-container orders we can split one 40HQ across Amazon FBA FCs, Wayfair DCs, your 3PL warehouse, and a brand.com reserve. Each pallet is pre-labeled for its destination so the shipment clears without manual unload at any DC. Splitting adds USD 80 per extra destination for palletization and carrier handoff.
6. What listing assets do you supply for Shopify DTC and Wayfair?
Every channel-ready SKU ships with 7 hero shots on white background (2000×2000 px), 5 lifestyle photos, 3 infographic images, dimensional line drawings (DWG + PDF, required by Wayfair), 5 Amazon bullet copy (≤250 chars each), 300-word Shopify long-form copy, a one-page spec PDF, and 3 A+ content modules as editable PSDs.
7. What is the lead time from purchase order to channel inventory?
Production is 18 days for a 200-unit restock or 25 days for a 40HQ container. Ocean transit to US West Coast is 22 days from Shanghai or Ningbo. Add 3-5 days for FBA receiving or 1-2 days for 3PL receiving. Total PO to live inventory: 43 to 52 days for FBA, or 41 to 49 days for DTC warehouse. For urgent restocks, air freight to LAX is 8 days but costs roughly USD 4 per unit extra.
8. Do you meet Amazon's 25 lb single-box and 108" length-plus-girth limits?
Yes. Single-box weight stays below 22 lb for the 30" and 36" models by splitting the duct adapter and chimney into a separate accessory carton inside the master box. Box dimensions stay below 108" combined length plus girth for all sizes, including the 42" wall-mount model. This avoids Amazon's oversize fee surcharge and UPS large-package surcharge ($19.50/package).
